The Stanford EGRET Team Home Page

Welcome to the Home Page of the Stanford EGRET Team. This group is headed by Prof. Peter Michelson, and is part of the larger EGRET team headed by Dr. Carl Fichtel of NASA/Goddard Space Flight Center. Also collaborating is the Gamma-Ray Astronomy Group at the Max Planck Institut für Extraterrestriche Physik.

EGRET (The Energetic Gamma Ray Experiment Telescope) is a high energy (30 MeV - 30 GeV) gamma ray telescope on board the orbiting Compton Gamma Ray Observatory. EGRET has made the first All-Sky Survey of the gamma ray sky.
